About PVA

The Pleasanton Virtual Academy is a supported Independent Study Program. Our students choose to attend the Pleasanton Virtual Academy for a variety of reasons. Due to the recent changes in Independent Study Law prescribed quantities of synchronous live instruction are required for each grade level.

Students who do not live in Pleasanton and wish to attend the Pleasanton Virtual Academy may do so. The first step in requesting an interdistrict transfer is to begin with your district of residence. Your current district must sign the interdistrict transfer form and forward to Pleasanton Unified. After completion of the IDT and notification of acceptance to the Pleasanton Unified School District please apply to the Pleasanton Virtual Academy. Students will be enrolled as quickly as possible as long as there is space available.
